SERVICES PROVIDED BY WCF INCLUDE:
We can organise focus groups for research and consultation purposes on any issues with BME participants bringing their own unique points of view to the table. In the past we have run focus and research groups for policy-makers and influencers, public sector organisation bodies and for academic purposes, among others.
We are located at 7 Neville Street, just off of St. David’s Hospital, in Riverside, home to many BME communities of Cardiff. Our Centre spans across four floors, including 3 large training rooms, an IT suite and on-site crèche with small outdoor space and a fully equipped kitchen, adjacent to our largest training room, suitable for small refreshments as well as hot lunches. We are also able to provide catering services as part of space hire. Additionally, we offer meeting rooms with high speed wireless internet access and projector, office space or individual desks for hire. Please note that given the nature of our building and the confined space in Riverside, our building is not wheelchair-friendly.
We offer interpreting and translation in over 60 different ethnic languages. Interpreting and translation is offered in various languages spoken by minority communities ranging from Arabic, Urdu, Somali, Gujarati, Bengali, Punjabi, Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin), Hindi, Kurdish, Polish and many other languages.
We offer tailor-made training to cater for the needs & requirements of individual organisations.
We organise and offer inter-faith visits and training to a variety of organisations including officers from the Welsh Government, schools, universities and other third sector organisations. The training consists of seminars hosting representatives from different faiths, followed by a tour to visit different worship places.
We are working in partnership with Euro Training Services Cardiff offering 3-6-month-long work placements to young women from EU countries funded through the Erasmus+ and Leonardo Programmes.
